Analysis of RRB Officer (Scale I) Prelim exam held 3rd Aug 2024 (Shift 2)
The RRB PO (Scale I) Prelim examination is scheduled to be held on the 3rd and 4th Aug, followed by the IBPS RRB Clerk exam to be held on the 10th, 17th and 18th Aug. For the first time, IBPS has introduced a section-wise time limit for this exam.

Quantitative Aptitude:
According to the feedback received from our students who appeared for this exam, this section can be rated as ‘Moderate’.
There were fifteen questions on DI (five questions each on Table, Line Graph and Caselet). The questions based on Tabular data were easy, Line Graph were easy to moderate and those based on Caselet were lengthy and time-consuming.
Individual questions in this section were based on topics like Ages, Percentages, Profit & Loss, Partnership, Simple and Compound Interest, Time and Distance, Time and Work, Mixtures & Alligations, and Mensuration. Students have informed us that these questions were a combo of easy and moderate ones. One needed a good command of fundamentals to attempt these questions successfully.

There were five questions each on Wrong Number Series and Approximations. The questions on Wrong Number Series were moderate and the ones on Approximation were easy to Moderate.

This section has been tagged as 'easy to moderate'.
There were twenty-four questions on Puzzles (Linear Arrangement (uncertain number of persons), Circular Arrangement (Eight persons; four facing towards the centre and the four facing away from the centre), Box Arrangement (10 boxes), Floor Arrangement (4 floors and each floor with 2 flats). The questions based on Puzzles can be labelled as easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level.
Questions on Symbols Notations (Inequalities), Chinese Coding-Decoding and Direction Sense were easy to crack.
