Indian Overseas Bank has released the notification for the engagement of Apprentices. Total number of training seats is 550.

(A) Important Dates:

Online Registration: 28.08.2024 TO 10.09.2024.

Payment of Application Fee:  28.08.2024 to 15.09.2024

 

Online Examination Date (Tentative):  22.09.2024

  

(B) Eligibility Criteria (as on 01.08.2024):

Educational Qualification:  Graduation from a recognized University/ Institute.

Age (as on 01.08.2024):  Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years

(C) Duration of Training and Stipend:

Candidates who are selected as apprentices will be paid stipend for the contract period of one year as detailed below.

(D) Selection Procedure:

Selection will be made on the basis of an Online Examination & test of local language wherever applicable and personal interaction if any as decided by the Bank. Merely satisfying the eligibility norms do not entitle a candidate to be called for Online Examination and personal interaction.

(i) Online Test (objective type): The online examination will consist of four tests i.e., General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude and Computer or Subject Knowledge.

(ii) Knowledge and Test of Local Language:

• The candidates applying for training seats of a particular State, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in any one of the specified local languages of that State. 
• Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate as evidence having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test. 
• For other candidates, the test for knowledge of the local language will be conducted as a part of the selection process. It will be conducted when the candidate is called for document verification by the Bank. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be engaged as apprentices.

(iii) Wait List:

 

A waitlist (State-category wise) will be maintained for one year from the date of result of the engagement of apprentices or next engagement exercise, whichever is earlier. Candidates will be released from this waitlist against non-joining subject to availability of qualified candidates.

(E)  Application Fee:

 

PwBD--- Rs.400/- plus GST (18%) = Rs.472/

Female/ SC/ ST ---- Rs.600/- plus GST (18%) = Rs.708/-

GEN/OBC ----- Rs.800/- plus GST (18%) = Rs.944/-
