Union Bank of India has released the notification for the engagement of Apprentices. Total number of training seats is 500.

(A) Important Dates:

Online Registration: 28.08.2024 TO 17.09.2024.

  

(B) Eligibility Criteria (as on 17.09.2024):

Educational Qualification:  Graduation from a recognized University/ Institute.

Age (as on 01.08.2024):   Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years

(C) Duration of Training and Stipend:

Duration of training is of one year. The apprentice shall be imparted On Job Training on different aspects of banking practices, products and processes. 

 

The apprentices are eligible for stipend of Rs. 15000/- per month for the engagement period of one year. The apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances/benefits.   

(D) Selection Procedure:

Selection of candidates who apply for engagement of apprentices in the Bank after paying the requisite online examination fee shall have to undergo the selection process, which would comprise the following: 

(i) Online Test (objective type): The online examination will consist of four tests i.e., General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude and Computer Knowledge.

(ii) Knowledge and Test of Local Language:

• The candidates applying for training seats of a particular State, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in any one of the specified local languages of that State.  
• Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate as evidence having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test. 
• For other candidates, the test for knowledge of the local language will be conducted as a part of the selection process. It will be conducted when the candidate is called for document verification by the Bank. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be engaged as apprentices.

(iii) Wait List:

 

Wait List of successful candidates will be declared to meet the requirement of the Bank in respect of non-acceptance / nonreporting by the selected candidates from the First Merit List.   

(E)  Application Fee:

 

PwBD--- Rs. 400/-+GST

Female/ SC/ ST ---- Rs. 600/-+GST

GEN/OBC ----- Rs. 800/-+GST
