SBI has announced 600 PO posts under PO recruitment drive 2024-25. There are major changes in the Prelim and Mains Exam pattern of the examination as compared to the exam which was held in 2023.
Eventhough, the vacancies announced are less when compared to what SBI announces usually, it is a golden opportunity for aspirants who are seeking a career in SBI as PO

2. Eligibility Criteria :
(a) Age(As on 01.04.2024) - Min 21 years and Max 30 Years (Relaxation for reserved categories as per rules)
(b) Min educational qualification(As on 30.04.2025) : Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent.
Those who are in the Final Year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 30.04.2025
(3) Structure of Examination (ONLINE):
(A) Phase 1: Preliminary Examination (Online Test):
The test will have of 3 Sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

Note 1 : Category wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the Preliminary Examination.
Note 2 : Candidates numbering approximately 10 times the number of vacancies in each category will be short listed for the Main Examination from the top of the merit list.
Note 3 : There will be no sectional CutOff.
(B) Phase II : Main Examination (Online Test & Descriptive Test):
This will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer a Descriptive test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of the Objective Test, a Descriptive Test will be administered.
(i) Objective Test: The objective test of 3 hours duration consists of 4 Sections for a total 200 marks.

(ii) Descriptive Paper: Duration: 30 Minutes; Max Marks: 50. This comprises Emails, Reports, Situation Analysis & Precis Writing
- Each candidate will have to score a minimum score in each test & Descriptive paper individually) in Main Examination.
- Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for Phase III.
Penalty for Wrong Answers: There will be negative marks (Prelim and Main Exams) for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Selection criteria for Phase III: Category wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in Phase-II (Main Exam). Candidates numbering up to 3 times (approx.) of the category wise vacancies will be shortlisted for Phase-III from the top of the category wise merit list subject to a candidate scoring the minimum aggregate qualifying score, as decided by the Bank.
(C) Phase-III:
This comprises of (a) PSYCHOMETRIC TEST (b) GROUP EXERCISE (c) PERSONAL INTERVIEW
(a) PSYCHOMETRIC TEST: The Bank will conduct Psychometric test for personality profiling, of those candidates who will be shortlisted for Phase-III. Findings of the test may be placed before the Interview panel for having a thorough perspective on the candidates.
Group Exercise will be for 20 Marks and Interview for 30 Marks
Final Selection: The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-II and Phase-III separately. The marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II), both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in Phase-III for preparing the final merit list. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for preparing the final merit list for selection.
(4) How to apply:
Candidates can apply online only from 27.12.2024 to 16.01.2025 . No other mode of application will be accepted
(5) Application fees / Intimation charges:
Application Fee will be 750/- for General/ EWS/ OBC candidates and ‘Nil’ for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates.
