As per feedback received from our students who appeared for this exam, the exam can be rated as easy to moderate.

The section-wise analysis of the above-mentioned session, as reported by our students, is given below:

Numerical Ability:

This section can be rated as 'Easy to Moderate'.

Data Interpretation: There were ten questions (2 sets) based on Data Interpretation and were easy to solve except for two questions which involved calculations.

One set was based on Table (3X3) which contains three months and three film companies, and the number of films produced in these months. The second set was based on a Bar Chart which contained the details of Sweets sold on five days (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu and Fri).

Number Series: There were three questions on Number Series (Missing Number) which can be rated as easy to moderate.

Simplifications: There were ten questions on Simplifications, of which two to three questions were calculations-based, and the rest were easy to solve.

Individual Quant Questions: There were twelve questions from topics of Simple Equations, Ages, Percentages, Profit and Loss, Partnership, Simple Interest, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Boats and Streams, Trains and Mensuration were ten in number. These were a combination of easy and moderate ones.

A student could, therefore, have solved around 27 - 28 questions in 20 minutes if he chose judiciously.

Reasoning:

This section has been given an 'Easy' tag.

There were eighteen questions on Puzzles (Linear Arrangement (Single row – eight persons all facing North), Certain Number of Persons (All facing North and 11 persons), Square Arrangement (8 persons; persons sitting at the corner are facing inside and at the persons sitting at the centre are facing outside), Month and Date based (Four Months and Two dates)) which were easy to solve.

There were three questions each on Symbols and Notations (Inequalities) and Blood Relations. These questions were easy to solve.

The three questions on Deductions (Syllogisms) (3 statements, 2 conclusions) were easy to moderate in nature. The five questions on Number Sequence were easy to solve.

About 30 to 32 questions could be solved in 20 minutes. As reported by our students, the topic-wise split is as given below.

English Language:

This section has been tagged as 'Easy' by our students.

  • The lone Reading Comprehension passage was conventional in its presentation and comprised of seven questions. The passage was based on the topic 'Road Accidents and Prevention Measures'. There were two questions on 'Synonyms'.

  • There were six questions on the 'Cloze Test'. The presentation was traditional and the passage was based on 'Bees – Honey Production – Food Production'.

  • There were five questions each on 'Para Forming' and 'Error Identification'. The questions on Error Identification were based on identifying a single error and the questions on 'Para Forming' contained five sentences to be arranged to form a meaningful paragraph. The student must identify the order of sentences.

  • There were four questions on 'Wrongly Spelt words and three questions on 'Word Usage'. The words given were Slip and Batch. These questions were easy to solve.

Thus, about 25 - 26 questions could be solved in 20 minutes in the English section. The break-up of the questions is as follows:
