The section-wise analysis of the above-mentioned session, as reported by our students, is given below:

Quantitative Aptitude:

This section can be rated as moderate.

There were sixteen questions (3 sets) on Data Interpretation (five questions each on the Double Pie Chart and table and four questions on Caselet). Questions on Data Interpretation were time-consuming and lengthy.

The first pie chart shows the percentage of tickets sold for five different shows on a Sunday. The second pie chart contains the percentage of profit from these shows.

The table contains three products and the Total Rice, White Rice and Brown Rice in percentage and values.

The data given in the form of a caselet can be represented in the form of a table before solving the questions.

There were three to four questions Approximations which were easy to moderate in nature.

Individual Quant questions were twelve to thirteen in number. These were a combination of easy, moderate, and difficult ones. These questions were from the topic, Linear Equations, Ratio, Percentages, Profit & Loss, Partnership, Simple and Compound Interest, Mensuration, Boats and Streams, Averages, Mixtures and Alligations etc.

A student could, therefore, have solved around 12 - 13 questions in 20 minutes if he chose judiciously.

Reasoning:

This section has been given a 'Easy to Moderate' tag.

There were twenty-four questions on Puzzles(Linear Arrangement (Eight persons; four persons facing North and four persons facing South), Month-based puzzle (six persons; six months; Distribution), Circular Arrangement (nine people all facing the Centre), Floor Arrangement (10 people; 5 Floors; 2 flats), Year based Puzzle (six years; six persons; Variable-favorite place) which were of easy to moderate in terms of level of difficulty.

There were four questions on Deductions / Syllogisms (Only a few, Only and Possibility models) which were moderate to solve.

About 21 to 22 questions could be solved in 20 minutes. The topic-wise split, as reported by our students, is given below.

English Language:

This section has been tagged as 'Easy to Moderate' by our students.

  • The lone Reading Comprehension passage was conventional in its presentation and comprised eight questions. The passage was based on the ‘Soft Toy Industry'. There were two questions on Synonyms and one question on Antonym.

  • There were three questions each on Phrase Replacement and Fill in the blanks (2 Blanks). These questions were easy to solve.

  • There were six questions on the Cloze Test, which were easy. The question types presented were traditional.

  • There were five questions each on Para Forming Questions (six sentences; 4th Sentence fixed) and Grammatically Correct Sentences. The questions were moderate.

  • There were four questions each on Word Interchange (4 words) and Sentence Rearrangement. These questions were easy to solve.

  • The two questions on Match the Column (two columns) were easy to attempt.

Thus, about 26 - 27 questions could be solved in 20 minutes in the English section. The break-up of the questions is as follows:
