PNB has released the detailed notification for recruitment of 750 Local Bank Officer (Junior Management Grade Scale-I).
(A) Important Dates :
Online Registration commences from : 03.11.2025
Last Date for Online Registration : 23.11.2025
(B) Important Points:
- This post is equivalent to PO Scale I.
- Number of vacancies: 750.
- Application window: 3rd November to 23rd November 2025.
- Vacancies are in 17 states and are announced state-wise.
- Candidates can apply for the vacancy of one state only.
- Merit list will be drawn state wise.
- The selected candidate shall be posted within the State against whose vacancy they are selected up to their promotion to SMGS-IV or 9 years of service, whichever is earlier.
- Selection Procedure: (I) Online Written test, (II) Screening (III) Language Proficiency Test (IV) Personal Interview.
(C) Eligibility : (as on 01.07.2025)
Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Knowledge of Reading, Writing and Speaking of Regional Language of the State / UT against the vacancies for which a candidate wishes to apply is essential. A Regional Language Test will be conducted before final selection. Candidates not found to be proficient in the test will be disqualified.
Age : Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 30 years.

Candidates will have to score minimum qualifying marks of 40% for General/EWS category and 35% for Reserved category in each section.
Language Proficiency Test (LPT):
The candidates applying for the position of LBO of a particular state should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking) in a specified local language. Candidates shortlisted through the online written test must appear in this test unless they have proof of having studied the language in 10th/12th standard.
Personal Interview (PI):
- All shortlisted candidates, including exempted ones, will be called for the Personal Interview.
- The number of candidates shortlisted depends on performance in Online Written Test and Language Proficiency Test.
- Interview will be for 50 marks. Minimum qualifying marks: 45% (22.50) for SC/ST & 50% (25) for others.
- Candidates failing to qualify in the interview will be disqualified.
PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS: For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. No penalty for unattempted questions.
(E) Application Fee :
SC/ST/PwBD Candidates: Rs. 50/- + GST @18% = Rs. 59/- (postage charges only)
All others: Rs. 1000/- + GST @18% = Rs. 1180/-
