SSC has released the notification for recruitment to the posts of Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and Secretariat Security Force (SSF), and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR).
The recruitment process will consist of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Medical Examination and Document Verification.
(A) Important Dates :
- Dates for submission of online applications: 01.12.2025 to 31.12.2025
- Application Form Correction and online payment of Correction Charges: 08.01.2026 to 10.01.2026 (23:00)
- Schedule of Computer-Based Examination: Feb–April, 2026
(B) Eligibility (As on 01.01.2026):
- Age Limit: 18–23 years. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02-01-2003 and later than 01-01-2008 in normal course.
- Educational Qualifications: The candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/University.
(C) Vacancies: The details of vacancies are as follows

Pay Scale: Pay Level – 3 (₹21,700/- to ₹69,100/-) for all the posts.
(D) Scheme of Examination :
Computer Based Examination: The exam will consist of one Objective Type Paper containing 80 questions carrying 2 marks each.

All the questions will be of Objective Multiple-Choice Type. The CBE will be conducted in English, Hindi and 13 Regional languages: Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST): Based on performance in CBE, candidates will be shortlisted for PET/PST.
(E) Application Fee: Rs. 100 (Women candidates and SC/ST/ESM candidates eligible for reservation are exempted.)
Window for Application Form Correction: 08.01.2026 to 10.01.2026 (23:00)
