RBI Grade B Officer 2017-18 Notification Out - 161 Posts

RBI has announced Recruitment of Grade B Officers for 2016. Total posts announced are 161. The time gap between Phase I Exam and Phase Ii Exam is less than 20 days !!.

    *The Board reserves the right to make any change in these dates.
    $ Candidate will have to appear in only one shift of Phase-I examination.
    £ Candidate will have to appear in all the shifts of Phase-II examination.

  2. Eligibility Criteria :

    a. Age (As on 1st May 2017): Between 21 and 30 years

    b. Educational Qualification :

    Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - (General) : A minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor’s degree as well as in 12th and 10th standard examinations

    Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DEPR : A Master's Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute.

    Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DSIM : A Master's Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years

  3. Number of attempts:
    Candidates belonging to unreserved i.e. General Category, who had already appeared Six times for Phase-I Examination for this post in the past, are not eligible to apply. No such restriction applies to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD, if the posts are reserved for them.

  4. Scheme of Selection:

    Selection for the aforementioned posts will be done through ON-LINE examinations in Phase – I and Phase - II and interview.

    (A) Phase-I ON-LINE Examination (Objective Type):

    Duration - 120 Minutes
    Max Marks - 200

    The objective paper comprises of 

    1. General Awareness
    2. English Language
    3. Quantitative Aptitude
    4. Reasoning.

    Cut off marks : Candidates have to secure minimum marks separately for each test as well as aggregate.Candidates, who secure minimum marks separately for each Test will be shortlisted for Phase-II of the Examination based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Objective Test.

    (II) Phase-II ON-LINE Examination - Paper II is Descriptive and Paper I and III are Objective] :

    Paper pattern : Three Papers - 300 marks

    • Paper-I – Economic and Social Issues - 1½ hours - 100 marks
    • Paper-II – English ( writing skills) – 1½ hours – 100 marks (Descriptive, to be typed with the help of the keyboard)
    • Paper-III - Finance & Management – 1½ hours - 100 marks

      iii) Quantitative Aptitude and
      iv) Reasoning

  5. Final Selection :

    Final selection will be through merit lists which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in Phase-II (Paper-I + Paper-II + Paper-III) and Interview.

  6. Application fee : Rs 850 for Gen/OBC and Rs 100 for others.

  7. HOW TO APPLY ON-LINE:

    Candidates have to apply only online through the Bank's website i.e. www.rbi.org.in from 3rd May to 23rd May 2017.No other means/mode of applications will be accepted.
