There were thirteen questions on DI (five questions each on Table, Double Pie chart and three questions on Caselet). The questions on DI were easy to moderate. The given table contained the total number of mangoes sold in five cities and the percentage of mangoes sold to males. In the Double pie chart, the first pie chart gave the total number of males and females in four cities, and the second pie chart contained information on females. The caselet contained the details of the total seats, and the number of occupied and vacant seats in a bus. Also, it was given that the number of males was greater than that of females.
There were five questions each on Approximations, Missing Number Series and Quadratic Comparisons. These questions were easy to solve.
The twelve questions on Arithmetic were based on topics like Ages, Percentages, Profit & Loss, Partnership, Simple and Compound Interest, Time and Distance, Time and Work, Mixtures & Alligations, and Mensuration. Students have informed us that these questions were a combination of easy and moderate ones. One needed a good command of fundamentals to attempt these questions successfully.

The analysis of the IBPS PO 2025 Prelim exam held on the 23rd of August 2025 (Shift 1) has been presented below.
This year, IBPS has changed the pattern with respect to the marks allotted to each section. In the exam, there was no mention of question Vs marks.

Quantitative Aptitude:
This section can be rated as easy to moderate. No new question types/patterns of questions were asked in this shift of the exam.
There were fifteen questions (3 sets) on Data Interpretation (five questions each on the Table, Line Graph (2 lines) and Caselet). The questions based on the Table were calculation-based.
The table contains information on the difference between red and blue balls in column I and the percentage of Red balls in column II. The line graph contains two lines. The first line gives info on the number of TVs sold, and the second line gives the difference between TVs and Cell phones. Also, it was mentioned that cellphones were less than TVs sold.
There were five questions each on Approximations and Quadratic Comparisons. These were easy to attempt.
Individual questions from the Arithmetic topics were ten in number. These were a combination of easy, moderate, and difficult ones. These questions were based on Ages, Ratio, Profit and Loss, Averages, Time, Speed and Distance, Boats and Streams, Mensuration, etc.
A student could, therefore, have solved around 18 – 19 questions in 20 minutes, if he chose judiciously.

- The lone Reading Comprehension passage was conventional in its presentation and comprised eight questions, of which four were vocab questions (two on Synonyms, one on Antonyms and one on FIB). The passage was based on Cloud Kitchen. The questions on Reading Comprehension were easy to moderate in difficulty.
- There were four questions each on Error Identification, FIB (Single Blank), Word Usage and Word Interchange (4 words), which were easy to solve.
- There were five questions on Para Forming. This was based on work-life balance. These questions were easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level.
- There was one question on Match the Column (3 Columns).

This year, IBPS has changed the pattern with respect to the marks allotted to each section. In the instructions, it was mentioned that all questions carry equal marks.

Quantitative Aptitude:
This section can be rated as moderate. No new question types/patterns of questions were asked in this shift of the exam.
There were ten questions (2 sets) on Data Interpretation (five questions each on the Table and Bar Graph (2 Bars)). The questions based on the Table were calculation-based and time-consuming.
The table contains information on the total of wooden and mechanical pencils in column I and the cost of wooden and mechanical pencils in column II. In the note, the cost of each wooden and mechanical pencil was given. The bar graph contains two bars. The first bar gives information on the total manufactured, and the second bar gives information on the total sales of a certain product for four companies. The profit per article for each company was given in the note below the graph.
There were five questions each on Approximations and Wrong Number Series. The questions on Approximations were easy, whereas the questions on Wrong Number Series were moderate in nature.
There were five questions on Data Comparisons (2 Quantity comparisons). These were easy to solve.
Individual questions from the Arithmetic topics were ten in number. These were a combination of easy, moderate, and difficult ones. These questions were based on Ages, Profit & Loss, Simple and Compound Interest, Mensuration, Averages, Mixture, and Time and Distance.
A student could, therefore, have solved around 16 – 17 questions in 20 minutes, if he chose judiciously.

- The lone Reading Comprehension passage was conventional in its presentation and comprised eight questions, of which three were vocab questions (one on Synonym, one on Antonym and one on FIB). The passage was based on a Chinese Payment Gateway. The questions on Reading Comprehension were easy to moderate in difficulty.
- There were four questions on Grammatically Correct sentences (Finding the incorrect sentence). These were easy to moderate to solve.
- There were six questions on the Cloze Test. These questions can be rated as easy.
- There were five questions on Word Interchange (4 words).

There were five questions on Approximations and four questions on Quadratic Comparisons. Wrong Number Series. These questions were easy to solve.
