IIM visakhapatnam starts its sessions
IIM-Visakhapatnam, in the new state of Andhra Pradesh, officially opened the institute for the academic session 2015-16 on 21st September. The institute will temporarily operate from the Andhra Bank sponsored building at the AU Management Block.

 As of now, IIM Visakhapatnam will offer the two year PGP programme only. The orientation programme for the PGP 2015-17 batch was held on 21st September. Regular classes are to begin from September 28th. Around 54 students have enrolled in the first batch of the institute.

 Till the full-time faculty are recruited, faculty from IIM- Bengaluru will fly in every week to conduct classes for the students.  

The foundation for the IIM building was laid on January 17, 2015 at Gambheeram village, about 25 km from Visakhapatnam.
