Introduction
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardised National Level test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India, Ministry of Education approved MAT as a national level test in 2003. MAT is now a new-age entrance test with streamlined exam sections, updated content focus, and concise exam duration.

Test Pattern
MAT has five sections, each with thirty questions. A total of 150 questions are to be attempted over 120 minutes.

Candidate can take MAT as
(i) Paper Based Test (PBT) or
(ii) Computer Based Test (CBT) or
(iii) Paper Based Test and Computer Based Test (PBT+CBT) or
(iv) Computer Based Test 1 and Computer Based Test 2 (CBT 1 + CBT 2)
Note:
• Candidates can opt for an additional mode of test (e.g. PBT+CBT, CBT + CBT) by paying an extra fee of ₹1500/- in addition to ₹2100/-.
• Candidates opting for additional test will have the benefit of selecting additional 2 Management Institutes for sending their scores in addition to existing option of selecting 5 Management Institutes i.e. they can select 7 Management Institutes in total.
Eligibility Criteria for MAT
Graduates in any discipline. Final year students of Graduate Courses can also apply.
