IIM Guwahati to become the 22nd IIM

The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are premier public business schools in India, established with the vision of providing world-class management education and nurturing future leaders. Renowned for their rigorous academic curriculum, case-based teaching methods, and emphasis on practical learning, the IIMs consistently rank among the top business schools globally.

The Lok Sabha passed the Indian Institutes of Management (Amendment) Bill, 2025 on Tuesday (August 19, 2025), paving the way to set up one of the country’s premier educational institutions in Guwahati, Assam. With this, it is set to become the 22nd IIM of India.
